Scott Null Tarpon Series
Long-time Texas Coast guide Captain Scott Null has spent a lifetime tarpon fishing on the Middle Texas Coast. As his techniques refined, he recognized his (and his clients’), need for a new rod design. In the current rod market, he simply could not find what he needed. The solution was simple, drive up and visit Sawgrass.
We played with rods all day bending them, casting them, dissecting their qualities to find the blank he needed. Once Scott was satisfied, we began the build out.
Scott’s tarpon rods are made to be castable, fishable, and to survive the difficult nature of tarpon fishing. Scott wanted double-foot REC Recoil guides, full EVA grips with EVA fore-grips, a big ass hook keeper, and a Fuji Torzite tip-top. This build on an NFC hybrid blank offering anglers a powerful, lightweight and elegant rod.
